Forwarded on behalf of the CFD….
The Charlotte Fire Department is creating a 2022 heritage (year) book for our department. The heritage books will resemble the 2013 yearbook with updated photos of department personnel, apparatus, fire stations and significant incidents. To make sure the project is successful, they would like to extend the invitation to CFD Retired members. We will have 4 more days in which you can have your picture taken for the yearbook: January 24, 26, 27, and 28 (until noon). If you would like to have your picture taken, please email CFDYearbookCommittee@charlottenc.gov or call Jackie Gilmore at 704-301-7343 to schedule a time. We also ask that you spread the word amongst as many of your retiree friends as you can so we can get the most inclusive yearbook possible.
Any retirees unable to have your photo taken may submit a digital photo to CFDYearbookCommittee@charlottenc.gov. You can wear your CFD uniform (if available) or casual attire. If you are unable to have a picture taken and you do submit a digital photo, it should be a photo of you and not a group photo or action shot.
The yearbook committee is also looking for action shots to be included. If you have any pictures that you would like to be considered from your time of service, please email them to CFDYearbookCommittee@charlottenc.gov . All photos submitted will be reviewed for consideration. Please include the names of anyone in the picture as well as the date of the picture (or at least the time frame) if possible.
If you have any additional questions, please email the committee at CFDYearbookCommittee@charlottenc.gov or contact Captain Jackie Gilmore at 704.301.7343.
