A Celtic Night at the Palmer Building to raise money for the Bosemiller family. Please come support one of our Brother Firefighters. There will be live bagpipers, Irish Dancers, 2 sets of bagpipes raffled off, and 50/50 raffle. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. The staff of Camp Ignite would like to extend an invitation to any and all CFD members interested in volunteering at this year’s camp. The dates are June 21st – 25th, 2022. If you would like to help out and be a part of this year’s camp or if you need more information, please contact our Camp Director Venessa Roy (Venessa.roy@charlottenc.gov).
Camp Ignite is a FREE hands-on resident camp that focuses on the development of teamwork, self-confidence, and leadership skills in young women by utilizing fundamental firefighting skills. Camp Ignite educates young women to follow their dreams by introducing them to a future of limitless opportunities, regardless of gender!

Tommy Clymer, President of the Fire Museum and Education Center of Charlotte Mecklenburg would like to accomplish an oral history project to pass on the history of the CFD. If you know of any retirees that would be interested in being interviewed, please send their contact information which should include name, rank, phone number, and email to thomas.clymer@charlottenc.gov.
The intent is to gather as many interviews as possible and make them available via social media for our former and current members of the department. This is not just for operations members, but also those that worked in Fire Alarm, Investigations, and Inspections or any other division I may not have mentioned. I appreciate the opportunity to tell the stories of those that came before us in our department.
